Since we arrived at 6am after a 13 hour drive, would it be considered day 2? Or day 1 extended???
All I know is we took a 5 hour nap after arriving and it felt like a whole new day, so we’ll go with Day…uh…2?

Incredible how something so simple could be so absolutely beautiful. This was the first thing we saw when we parked in Tennessee, isn’t that adorable!
Absolutely the most mundane things seem gorgeous out here.

There are few things that give me anxiety and hype me up as much as this did. I love adventure, and heights and that sort of thing… so long as I’m completely in control.
Here, I was barely held down, but I accepted my fate and rolled with it!
Not to mention I’d see others going the opposite way looking like they were having full on mental breakdowns, and decided that wasn’t going to be me today.

Distracting myself by taking photos helped too.

After the sky adventure we decided to take a walk through the town, maybe sight see a little bit, nothing crazy.
Bandit was greeted by so many different people! Everyone was so kind to him (I realized I picked the wrong color harness but it’s one of our favorite colors so we can’t win them all).
A lady got really upset because she knew he wasn’t a service dog and my Miami side popped out a bit and told her “I never said he was” and she seemed really annoyed by it.
Keep in mind, Bandit is a quiet but curious pup and he lets (almost) everyone pet him. So I decided our next collar is going to say “Not a Service Dog, Please Pet”.
He absolutely enjoyed every moment of this trip and also made it a lot easier for me to enjoy people watching and chatting with others with him as the buffer.
I’m very friendly, but it’s hard for me to look for natural ends to conversations, it’s a character flaw I swear.

Honestly if I could live out here, I would, what a gorgeous place to be.
Everything out here feels like it has a story.

It’s almost as if they have so much land, they can afford to have abandoned buildings left alone in random places.
Out here in Miami if something is closed for longer than a few days it’s knocked down and made into a building in a week.

It didn’t take us long to bump into coworkers who were renting up the mountain, and decided to spend the new year with them.
Dad says “everyone in Miami goes to Gatlinburg for the holidays,” and he isn’t wrong. We bumped into everyone we don’t normally see at home, out here.
<All Covid Guidelines were followed>
Bandit and I spent a good portion of the New Year outside admiring the view from up above, the drive up the mountain was a little spooky and the twists and turns took some getting used to.

We were able to say goodbye to 2020 and hello to 2021 in style, what a beautiful place to be.
