People Watching: The Spirit Twins

While I will admit, I love people watching as much as the next person (if not more), because of my personality and the personality of my four legged companion, we can’t just people watch. Somehow we always find a way to get involved, so we’ll call what we do…

Active People Watching…or maybe…Involved People Watching…

We’ll work on the title.

On one of our many people watching adventures North of our Florida Border, we spotted this man, who seemed really frustrated. He was upset about something, yelling and kicking the trash can he walked up to. Angrily puffing at his cigarette, having what seemed like a really heated argument with someone. His hands were flailing and his face was red and he’d point and yell some more. The one thing I’d like to note, however, is that he wasn’t speaking to anyone.

Not anyone we could see anyway, so Bandit tugs me in his direction, curious about what’s stressing this man out, and of course, I’m praying while he tugs that the man is just speaking to someone through a Bluetooth device or something. We approach and, there is no Bluetooth device anywhere, I wouldn’t be surprised if this man didn’t even have a phone on him.

We were able to overhear more or less what was going on and it went something like, he was tired of…the disembodied person telling him what to do with his life and how to deal with his relationship and how he was sick of the…disembodied person trying to take over.

“I’ll smoke as much as I want!” He yelled at one point, amongst other odd comments.

As I struggled to keep Bandit from approaching any further, I began to realize, the disembodied person seemed like the voice of reason and he was the reckless one. I was absolutely fascinated by this and couldn’t help but continue listening.

What I could gather, it seemed as if he had a constant struggle with this being and they were always at odds, that the being was upset that he was the main…soul in the body and that he didn’t deserve that privilege.

We stayed and listened for as long as we could, until it was time to hit the road again, I definitely wish we could’ve heard the argument from both sides though.
